Film Poster

In this particular task we were asked to create a movie poster on Photoshop using one of our images that conveyed emotions. I tried to use a good background in order to make the image stand out and convey the emotion correctly. I used the image of weakness because I felt it would be the easiest to edit and place into a movie poster. I used the background of a prison cell to open mass potential for audience interpretation of the movie for example it could be his first day, he could be being bribed etc. I used a basic colour palette to stick to the typical colour scheme for a horror/thriller film in order to make it easily recognizable for an audience. I also used the same font throughout yet with different sizes in order to stick with a theme. I then edited the main protagonist onto the bed in order to show him feeling and looking weak, however this could've easily been done at a higher standard as I left a bit of the background around his feet and legs and accidently cut off his foot. The missing foot could potentially be used in the storyline yet it wasn't what I was after. I then added the 15 film rating to show that it wasn't for certain audiences, yet also cropped part off by mistake. If I was to recreate the poster I would make sure to crop and cut things out properly and to explore with more creative fonts and colours.
